Daily Audio Bible = B-I-B-L-E: Life Changing

As a Christian, I find that daily interaction with the Word of God is critical to my spiritual life.  My daily journey with scripture began in December 2008 with the purchase of an early Christmas gift – an iPhone.  One of the first apps I found was Daily Audio Bible (DAB) and the love fest began.  The journey of falling in love with my Savior and allowing Him to change me with this daily influx of scripture – a beautiful smorgasbord:  Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs everyday.

In 2012, my interest waned and I began to feel that feeding on the Word of God everyday wasn’t satisfying.  I started to listen to DAB less and less and pretty soon was not listening at all.  Hadn’t I been through the Bible enough times already?  Did I really need to do this again?  Weren’t my “experiences and feelings” all I needed?  In retrospect, I had lost my foundation and was looking for someTHING or someONE to give me what God provides through His Word.  I began the daily journey again in 2013 – a fresh start.  It is now almost a year later – the end of 2013 and I can’t wait to start over in Genesis in less than a week.

Psalm 119:105 states, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”  If you are not in a daily rhythm of scripture, I encourage you to begin now wherever you are at: a verse a day to meditate on; an entire chapter to ponder; or join me on the journey that continues to be life-changing: a year through the entire Bible.

There are numerous great resources available on YouVersion, in Bible bookstores, online etc.  And of course, my favorite: Daily Audio Bible.  Here’s the link: http://dailyaudiobible.com/

Blessings to you.
